First couple of days are pretty busy with trying to get into the rhythm, figure I should post something so people don’t think I’ve already been eaten by a lion.
Fes (and Morocco in general) is not actually warm this time of year. It’s down to 8°C tonight, peaked at 16°C today. I’d like to point out that when I left, London was warmer.
We just got back from an all day tour of Fes, and I’m using this time to sort my bags.
Right now I’m lying on my air mattress typing this. It’s cold in the tent due to the rain, hence the warm clothes.
I really wish I knew a bunch of things before I flew out, but that’s part of the experience. I have a lot more locker space than I thought, but that extra space makes dealing with all my stuff easier. I’d still take the same 90L, but I’d do the full 90L, and not trying and already leave space.
Tomorrow morning is a 6:30am breakfast and then hitting the road for the first time, that should be telling, we don’t exactly have a huge amount of individual space on the truck. Day after tomorrow it’s my cook groups turn. I hope there’s someone in my group who can cook 😂.
I definitely won’t be posting every day, but I’ll try and post at least twice a week. Photos are also going to be rare due to lack of wifi, but when I get a day where I can sit down with my iPad and wifi, then I’ll post a bunch.
Anyway, time to snuggle into my sleeping bag and wait for dinner time.
