During our time in The Gambia it was Liz, our guide’s birthday.
Back in Senegal after having visited The Gambia. I think The Gambia is my favourite country so far, the people are friendly and welcoming. They have their problems — the cost of rice (an economic indicator) has been steadily rising over the last few years, and the current president isn’t particularly popular, but I enjoyed my time there — an a large amount of western tourists appear to agree with me.
Today we are back in Senegal, having secured our visas for Guinea-Bissau, we will be heading there tomorrow. The camp ground here isn’t particularly good, so I find myself looking forward to the next bush camp!
