In Africa, car horns have a whole different vibe. Forget London or Auckland, where honking basically translates to, “Get out of my way, you absolute muppet!” Here, a horn is less of a scolding and more of a social butterfly.
Honk! “Hello there!”
Honk! “How’s life treating you?”
Honk! “You’re looking fabulous today!”
Honk! “Your truck has excellent tire pressure!”
It’s like every car is auditioning for a role in The Sound of Music, but instead of singing, they’re chatting up everyone they pass.
