I wrote some of this in my notes but didn’t get around to publishing the 3rd and 4th day, so I’ll post the 3rd day now. The 4th was the reunion with the Inca Trail people and Machu Picchu. I haven’t written much about it, and I’m not sure I will, so I will dump some photos here for day 4 as well.
We awoke on day three with our final descent ahead of us. I was pretty tired, I think we all were, and while there were some amazing views I also know that none of them would be conveyed by my camera enough to do them justice. I was quite pleased that on day 3 I was able to keep up with the front of the group almost the entire way.

That’s where we had to get up to “after” our trek finished, here’s where we were standing, and the end of that bridge in the picture below. It’s cruel to say “you’ve reached the end of the trek, now climb up!” 🤣
