Barbados in the offseason

I arrived here on Wednesday and while there was a little rain initially the weather was beautiful. Thursday rolled around and it was a touch cloudy but once again the heat made swimming in the pools perfect, the only concern being to remember to wear sunblock.

Friday, Friday was stunning, beautiful weather, all sun. I finally gave in and asked one of the staff members where is everyone, there are so few guests. I had estimated maybe a 100-150 people at a beautiful all inclusive resort, the staff member simply said “it’s the off season” as if that explained everything. I was still confused, off season or not a long weekend here seems like a no brainer.

That is until Saturday rolls around. Ooooh. It’s been pouring down all day, it’s so windy it’s hard to open doors, even some internal doors, if the wind is blowing right. I’m very pleased that I’m in building 3 which has the indoor restaurant downstairs.
