River rafting was awesome. Instead of taking the Intrepid bus from La Fortuna to San Jose, we loaded our bags on that bus and then took a different bus to the rafting place. They then took us rafting on the river and a few hours later we had lunch and they dropped us off at our hotel in San Jose!
Towards the end we finally hit a point where we tipped out. I almost went in too, but I had my foot very much jammed into the raft so I couldn’t fall out!
I also went canyoneering but the photos from that aren’t really that good. There is a video of me jumping into a deep pool and I’m amused to see that as I surfaced I was making the divers surface sign for “ok”. I guess that’s embedded in me — find myself underwater and have to pop up, say to people on the surface that I’m ok.
