Heredia in pictures

It occurs to me there are little photos here, and I suspect few people are captivated by my prose.

So what is Heredia like?

My day begins on this quiet street. Off to the right there is the Heredia cemetery, and I can finally put to rest the lies that my snoring can wake the dead.

Most suburban streets around here look like this, but of note is all the bars on every window and door. I have not seen an unsecured wooden door in my entire time here. Many properties with actual fences have them topped with razor wire.

However during the day things in general feel safe, whether that is ignorance or truth I don’t know. That said I have been told that I should avoid going out at night, and the omnipresent security features do suggest that.

I was rushed today so I didn’t get a chance to photograph the central shopping areas on the way home, that shall wait for another post.
